Committed To The Vision – Part 1

Pastor James McIver, Jr.

Sermon Date: March 30, 2014
Length: 39 minutes
Scripture: Genesis 11:6; Ephesians 6:6-8; Acts 16:9; Matthew 26:16

“Committed to the Vision” is a lesson designed to help the believer answer the following question. If everyone was committed to church the way I am, what would my church look like? There are times when we must all do a self-evaluation in different areas of our lives to be sure we are truly being all that God has called us to be. In the area of partnering with our leaders to advance the Kingdom, we must ask ourselves certain things. If everyone gave the way I give, would the needs of the church be provided for? If everyone loved the way I love, would the lost be drawn to Christ? If everyone served the way I served, would the ministries of the church be able to run in excellence? There is power when God’s people come together to believe and speak the same things from their hearts, with no hidden motives or agendas. The confusion comes in when Satan attempts to distract us from where our true blessings comes from — our committment to God’s Kingdom. In this lesson Pastor James covers the vision and core values of WLCC, what it means to be a great commission church, the definition of partnership, and the 3 things a partner does.
